Wheels for Wellness provides reliable, door-to-door transportation to medical appointments for residents of the Town and Rural Municipality of Indian Head and surrounding area.
Wheels for Wellness Indian Head Inc. is a registered non-profit corporation incorporated under The Non-profit Corporations Act, 2022 (Saskatchewan). We exist to promote health by providing residents of the Town and Rural Municipality of Indian Head and surrounding area with reliable and accessible transportation to attend medical appointments, treatments, and other health-related services.
We relieve conditions associated with illness and aging by facilitating access to healthcare facilities, rehabilitation services, and community wellness programs. Our dedicated team of volunteer drivers use their own time and energy to ensure no one in our community misses an important medical appointment due to lack of transportation.
All drivers are vetted volunteers with clean criminal record checks and driving abstracts.
All volunteers sign confidentiality agreements. Your privacy is our top priority.

We transport you to a wide range of health and wellness appointments. If you're unsure if your trip qualifies, just ask our dispatcher.
Day surgery, scopes, pain clinic appointments, lab work, specialist referrals, and any other physician-directed health services.
Transportation to cancer treatments, chemotherapy sessions, and related follow-up appointments at regional health centres.
Optical appointments, hearing tests, fittings for hearing aids, and related follow-up visits to specialists.
Dental appointments, oral surgery, and other dental health services that require travel outside the community.
Counselling sessions, psychiatric appointments, and other mental health services in regional centres.
Physiotherapy, chiropractic appointments, rehabilitation sessions, and other therapeutic wellness services.

Our dispatcher will confirm your appointment, pickup address, and let you know the suggested donation amount for your trip.
Your volunteer driver picks you up at your door, takes you to your appointment, waits, and brings you back home safely.
Pay the suggested donation at the end of your ride. You'll receive a receipt for medical expense deduction purposes.
Wheels for Wellness operates on a suggested donation model. If you are unable to make the suggested donation, please advise our dispatcher when booking and we will see if we can make payment arrangements for you. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
